Brief Biography

I am a tenure-track assistant professor associated with the Optimization and Decision Systems group in Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen at the University of Groningen. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Automatic Control Laboratory, ETH Zurich working with Prof. John Lygeros. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego, where my advisor was Prof. Jorge Cortes. I received a Bachelor of Technology in 2008 and a Masters of Science in 2010, both in Mechanical Engineering, from IIT Delhi and ETH Zurich, respectively.

Research interests

Broadly, I am interested in optimization, optimization-based control, and game theory in the context of networked cyber-physical systems, specifically related to energy and transportation. Currently I explore the following topics:

• Data-driven stochastic optimization for energy networks

• Distributed algorithms for network optimization problems

• Routing games under uncertainty

• Risk-averse model predictive control
